Sharpening

What is that saying to see clearly we have to sharpen the saw??? Well, I enrolled in a free online course (Art, Heart, and Healing) giving by Tam of willowing & friends.

The first class was on drawing and painting a person…Oh my heavens can we say out of my comfort zone..BIG TIME!!!! Tam wanted us to do this in an Art Journal- I have been horrible about doing my for a while! I like to stick to the things that are easy for me. Which means little collages! So, I looked at my art journals- one is 4 x 6 inches and then 11 x 14 inches…mmmmmm Okay, since I am all ready out of my comfort zone…what the heck going BIG!!!

Now my girl – well she needs lots of work! Oh my heavens that nose is horrible and my pencil got a smudged too but the healing but of this exercised ROCKED! I plan to work on my Faces more. It was fun and I felt way more healed and creative after doing this page! I hope to squeeze in some more time to play with this journal soon. This weekend is the inkspots- early Birthday Party with his Classmates! Halloween style of course 🙂 So, I better get back to helping Mr. Ink with the leaves! LOL!

Thanks for stopping in! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,

  1. You rock GF. Another amazing piece. Before I read your post, I looked at the image and thought, “wow, I love those eyes and did you ever do a wonderful job with the nose.” Don’t be so hard on yourself. You did a beautiful job, Kim.

  2. Wow Kim, this is great! I would not want to see what it would give if I was trying something like that!!! Keep sharing with us and have a wonderful day!
