Charm

Bead soup is on!

If you remember Lois sent me the most beautiful beads.

She sent me- moonstone roundels, swarovski crystals, amazonite 8 mm, kyanite oval, freshwater pearls, and a Thai Hill silver flower and clasp. As a bonus Lois also sent me some sari silk. I was so excited to work with such great materials! Thanks again,  Lois!

This is what I came up with:

“tranquil hideaway”

  1. I’m certain there are nests in India that look just the same. I found a bird’s nest on the porch that was lined with dog hair picked up from the corners of the room. I love the aqua colored thread that runs through the nests and ties (literally?) them to the blue-greens of the other parts in the necklace. Your weathered-wood background is also a great touch. Bravo! Bravo!

  2. Wow. You are so talented Kim. Amazing necklace and earrings. A sweet artistic original pair. LOVELY.

  3. OMG! I’ve never ever seen nests made like that and I LOVE them. This is such a creative and gorgeous necklace! So artistic, and I’m blown away. You knocked it out of the park.

  4. gorgeous creations…so glad I took part in this, can’t wait for the next bead soup!

  10. Those nests? AWESOME! Fabulous pieces and I just can’t over how stinkin cute those nests are.

  11. Hi Kim, I am in love with your nest and pearls — so soft and fragile looking. I’ve made nests with wire, but never with sari silk — delish.

I hope you get a really good response from the swap/hop — So much fun!
