i heart macro- downtown edition

This week,  Tracey and switched it up from our normal nature walks. We took a nice long stroll downtown to capture things.  We looked like crazy tourist! I can’t tell you how many times we were asked if we were with the newspaper or wanted to lease a building. LOL

Peeling bark from a tree downtown

berries on a tree

decorative grass

The last of the roses at the court house

Pine cone on the steps to the river

A piece from the twin towers. It is a new monument in fire house park.

It’s amazing all the nature you can still see in a city downtown! You just have to take the time to look for it!

Thanks for stopping in!

Hugs,

  1. That was too funny when the 2 guys came practically running out to see if we had any questions about leasing the building! Do you think they were desperate or something? You took great nature shots considering we were in the middle of town! Love how the pump turned out. It was pretty cool that we made it for the big reveal of the Twin Towers monument when we didnt have a clue it was even going on. Such fun!!

  2. What fun! I’m so envious – and I’m LOVING the berry pic. Just beautiful.

  3. All such interesting macros but my favourite is the feathery touch of the decorative grassess!

  4. I love all your photos. The color in the rose picture is just stunning. And the pinecone is just beautiful.

  5. Love the berries and the grass. Would never have thought you were not out in your usual area with these ones included.

  7. Great collection, I love the peeling bark and the grasses images the most.

  8. These are beautiful–I especially love the red on those courthouse roses! My camera and I had a similar experience recently, except I was asked if I was the new owner of the building with the pretty striped awning I was shooting. Some people just don’t see what we see.

  9. wonderful story and such great shots; terrific composition; enjoyed the tour. thanks, kareninkenai (i heart macro)
