i heart macro- At the “spot” in January

It is so amazing to me that it is January and in Wisconsin we have only had a sneeze of snow. Nothing that stuck to the ground! I am a true Wisconsin gal, I jonesing for some snow! Anyways with the weather being in the 50’s! Tracey and I were able to get out for a small walk. The ground at our favorite spot was  really wet and since I still can’t get my shoe on….I had really cold, swollen feet when we were done! But, so worth it 🙂

  1. FABULOUS shots, love the praying mantis pod—never heard of such a thing, but then again have never thought about it either!! Love the thistle too. Hope your foot starts to go down soon!

  2. wonderful shots, the buds on a tree look like little fingers wrapped around holding the branch and love the milkweed…..your comment about ‘a sneeze of snow’ made me giggle….its been like that hear as well….can’t complain 🙂
thank you for visiting my blog, enjoy your week

  3. First off, I think the term “sneeze of snow” is hilarious.
Secondly, your photos of all the pods and blooms and the cocoon are really super cool. It’s like everything’s tucked away for the winter waiting for the warmness of Spring to bring them out. Very nice!

  4. My daughter is going CRAZY waiting for some REAL snow, while I am secretly delighted with this mild winter. Your photos are awesome! Interesting how most of the items appear to have a dusting of frost (or a sneeze of snow as it were =)

  5. I might sneeze just on principle,…all the white fuzzy stuff in your photos! 🙂
You do capture some amazing things up close on your walks! Everything in nature turns out beautifully looking through your lens!

  6. Wow..beautiful photos to enjoy looking through! I love your milkweed shots.
