6th Bead Soup Blog Party

Here we are on reveal day! I feel like drums should be playing in the background! I just love reveal day! This is my 3rd time participating in one of Lori Anderson bead soups. With each one, I think I have grown a little, stretched my wings a little, and held my head a little higher.  I want to take a  moment here to thank her for all she has done to make these Bead Soups happen. I know it takes a long time to get everything organized. Thanks so much, Lori!

My lovely partner is Marta Weaver. If you want another peak at what she sent me and what I sent her, click here. Due to her family experiencing an extreme emergency she was not able to post what she made with the soup I sent her. Marta did give me permission to post it here on my blog.

So, drum roll please…..Here is what Marta made:

Holy Smokes, look at that GORGEOUS necklace and earrings set! LOVE IT! Marta you ROCKED that pendant!

Now on to what I made with the AMAZING bead soup Marta sent me.

I also did a necklace and earring set 🙂 Great minds think alike 😉 Lets talk about my inspiration for these pieces.  A few weeks ago I got the book Bohemian- Inspired Jewelry. The gold-ish coin beads screamed Bohemian to me.  So I used some of the techniques from the book and then a little bit of bead embroidery.  It feel good to stretch a little and try something new! Then for the earrings, this was a first…I made my own ear wires! YES!!!! I know that I have a lot to learn about making ear wires…sometimes wire and I do not get along so well 😉 but over all I thought they turned out great!

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out Marta and my work. Don’t forget to get check out the other participants- Click here for the list!

Hope you all enjoy the Bead Soup Blog Party!

Hugs,
