S&D 24 Winter Wonderland

Good Afternoon everyone! Welcome to the S&D 24th Challenge- Winter Wonderland. You need to use a winter images for this challenge! I used Rachel Anne Millers –Mouse Hug. I made a 4 x 6 inch Postcard! I am really into being more green and saving money this year.

I used liquid watercolors and  gesso for the background. Glitter glue around the edges since winter is all about the sparkle of the snow (at least here in WI it is).  Of course a little hand stitching to make it feel a little warm and cuddle.

This weeks prize is :Christmas Fairy and Rachelle Anne Miller's Cuddling

Mail Art

Send off…

WOW,  what a busy weekend it was…finally getting back to the swing of things!  On Saturday, we had a surprise 50th Birthday party for one of SIL. Then on Sunday, we had to see off Miss College Ink’s boyfriend- Johno. He is in the Air Force and is now station in Vegas! It was much harder on all of then we thought it was going to be.  His family and ours all had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings before he headed off to the airport.  Nick (one of Johno’s brother’s) challenged me to eat a blazen boneless wing. Of course, I had to take the challenge! It was the nastiest thing I have ever eaten. Yeah, it was hot but more off it was nasty!

I finally got back to my studio. I worked on some more postcards.

4 x 6 inches “sending some love”

Happy Hump day! Thanks for stopping in!

Braving the Elements No. 36

I was very excited to get started on this months Crusade. Since, Michelle told us we had to do it in 60 minutes. Which is pretty much great  for me since I only have 90 minutes between picking up and dropping off boys for school each day!  As, I started working on this challenge I thought about how I could tie this into my own goals as well! One thing I want to do more this year is be better about sending mail art. I am in love with postcards.  Yesterday, Miss College Ink was over for some play time in the studio while her air force man was out ice fishing! We started reading some of the vintage postcards I have collected! Our favorite postcard was someone telling their family/friend they are now engaged! LOL!  Okay, sorry I am off track here…so instead of 2 page journal spread…I cut my pages into postcards (6) and then instead of snowflakes I did hearts snowflake style!

I used a postcard stamp on the back even 😉

I am off to the Post Office today to stock up on postcard stamps! Thanks so much for stopping in! Enjoy the elements 🙂 We are getting a snow storm today so I really will be braving the elements!

Hugs.
