Hanging out
As, I am hurrying around trying to get everything done for Christmas with the in-laws this weekend and spending time with Miss College Ink since she is flying the coop and heading far up North to attend a different college in January! I thought I need a creative break! I seen Mixed Monday challenge this week is “Just Hanging Out”. So, I got busy in the shop. To do something I love that I haven’t done in ages! Collage and solder!

Well, just under wire with the challenge for Mixed Media Monday! This is the best thing- to just play! I really am in love with mosaics now and plan to do more flower pots. For once you are going to hear me say- I need to work bigger! LOL! I learn so much and had a great time!

Last night my friend and I headed over a couple of county’s to a fair that Trailer Choir was playing at. OMG, they are awesome! We got picked to go backstage and hang with Big Vinnie, Crystal and Butter! We got our photo taken by the local radio station with them too! SOOO COOL!

I think this is the first time in a long time that I have the Mixed Media Monday Challenge done on a Monday! LOL! The theme this week is inspirational words. Since my word for this year is ACHIEVE. I used that on my journal page! I had a really good time working the paint at 6am! LOL!

“Come fly with me”
That is the theme this week at Mixed Media Monday! Not sure why but I had a hard time with this one. I think part of it was that I wanted to do something different, something I haven’t done in a while! So, I end up doing an 8 x 8 canvas! You all know that this is HUGE size for me!
Hope everyone is having a good week! Next week is the ink spots spring break. He is getting really exicted about having sometime off to just hang out! I am too!

Chinese proverb
This week the theme at Mixed Media Monday is Oriental.
As I am continuing to work in my Art Journal, I thought I would use a Chinese proverb for my page.
