Wishing on a star…

I have always been that kid who at night looks out into the sky to find a star (or two) to wish on.

Hoping and praying my wish would come true! Looking at how beautiful, dark, and mysterious the sky was at night! Astronomy  has  always been fascinating to me.  What story does the sky tell??? So this inspired my postcard for today 🙂

Thankful…

I am so thankful so many things in my life:

First and foremost MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS! They are the reason I get up each morning!

Okay sometimes I need a little help getting up in the morning 😉

These helps get me hurdle though the day

These make me feel like my soul is free

When stuff like this comes home for school my souls smiles

I am so blessed 🙂 What are you thankful for this Holiday Season?

Poor Benner is either having an allergic reaction to something or has the chicken pox! As you can see chocolate and cartoons are making him feel better! Poor kiddo!

Where are we going?

I got a new book over the weekend. The Creative Edge by Mary Todd Beam. It really has made me think about why I create what I create. Plus what is holding me back from doing what I want to do.

Part one of my problem is that I do not believe in myself. Comes from my not so pleasant childhood.  Some days I just push past it and others well I get hung up on it. Sometimes to be honest, I think it is my excuse for not following my dreams. My biggest dream is that I want to teach children art lessons. So, I decided that I would teach private lessons. In my area art in some schools is down to 1/2 hour once a week! UGH! I have all the paper work filled out but one line and my $20 in hand, but since I can’t then of a good name…I sit and do nothing. Is it just so I don’t have to worry about failing? or being successful?

Do you have things you want to achieve but don’t believe you can do them?

Well, Color me June

How in the world does each month just roll on bye? I can hardly believe it is June already! I can’t wait for school to be out. One week from tomorrow and YES we are counting down the days. LOL

How was everyone’s weekends? Mine was really nice even with Mr. Ink having a horrible sinus, eye, and ear infection. I got to go on a coffee date.  Got to look at the most beautiful view of the river. I just love being around water. Maybe it is because I’m a Pisces!

Change is good :)

Hello and Happy New Year!

I guess with the change of the year I decided to make a change of my blog. Typepad has been giving me fits for several months. I have been working with the support at Typepad and they still could not help me so here I am in a new spot and ready for some change. Thank you for sticking with me.

Things have been super busy for me with Mr. Ink being home on vacation. We have had lots of family time  and been to lots of hockey games. We have really enjoyed all the family time. But I am so ready to get back to my studio! Mr. Ink is off the rest of the week…so hopefully I can spend a little time down in my studio.

Each New Years do you make resolutions? I learned along time ago that I did not do very well at them. So a dear friend of mine said to go with a word for the year. I did that last year and it worked. My word was HEAL!

We can’t go back and undo things we did that we wish we had not done.

We can only go forward learning from our mistakes.

Understanding that we have grow from things we are so not proud of.

As the lessons in life unfold we maynot all ways know why we did not listen to our gut or just walked away when we know we should have.

No need to dwell on the past,  it is time to move forward.

We can over come the hurdles we were sure we couldn’t plunge past.

Live for the future not the past.

This year as I move on to a new word.

ACHIEVE

I have had many dreams and hopes,  but to afraid to let go of the past to try to achieve them! Not anymore!
